Trauma Informed Yoga Workshop

**Coming soon in 2024** Trauma-Informed Yoga and Mental Health: Integrating Embodied Healing in Clinical Practice, in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Schroeder of InPowered Therapy & Yoga, CE workshop for mental health professionals. Reach me at shiatsuwithkate@gmail.com for info.

I worked administratively for Yoga Activist in Washington, DC, in 2010, then completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in Chicago in 2014. Since then I have taught yoga in a variety of public settings such as studios and gyms – as well as in public libraries, residential homeless shelters, the YWCA’s program for sexual violence survivors, and Cook County Jail.

I am passionate about trauma-informed yoga and bring that approach wherever I teach. I have trained with Street Yoga (which has evolved in to Rebel Breath), Prison Yoga Project, Eat Breathe Thrive, Molly Boeder Harris/the Breathe Network, and the Center for Trauma and Embodiment (formerly Bessel Van Der Kolk’s Trauma Center). I completed Illinois’ 40-hour training in sexual violence crisis intervention through the metropolitan YWCA. More information is available on my yoga resume.
